Richard Stumpf Elected to a Second Term as a National Trustee for the Recording Academy4/26/2018

Atlas is proud to report that its founder and CEO, Richard Stumpf, has been elected to a second term as a National Trustee for the Recording Academy. Stumpf’s work in his first term focused on advocacy and building bridges with the digital community. The hours put into lobbying for more efficient systems and higher streaming rates paid off this year with a 43% increase in writer rates for on demand streaming, as well as the passing in the House of the Music Modernization Act. “I’m proud to serve a second term as Trustee and humbled that my fellow NY Chapter peers have voted me in to do so. We’ve accomplished a lot, but there is much more to do when it comes to protecting Creator rights, modernizing the Academy as a whole, and ensuring a viable career path for young artists,” said Stumpf.
