Bio
Jojee is a NYC based indie-pop singer/songwriter from North Carolina. She grew up doing musical theatre and attended art school for acting. From an early age, she and her father would spend countless hours listening to old jazz records, which would later influence her as an artist. In high school, she began writing her own songs with other young musicians.
After moving to New York City, she landed a job as a graphic artist in fashion and pursued her music off work hours. In 2015, she began independently releasing music alongside producer, Mickey Valen, and garnered much attention through the blogosphere. Her experience in graphic design not only allowed her to design and develop all of her own artwork and visuals, but to do the same for other up-and-coming artists.
She has been compared to the likes of Banks, FKA Twigs, and AlunaGeorge.
