Bio

Brian Howes is a Vancouver-based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His hits include those with Hedley, Mother Mother, Daughtry, Nickelback, Hinder, Skillet, Boys Like Girls, Simple Plan, Puddle of Mudd, David Cook, and more. Howes is Grammy-nominated and the recipient of BMI, SOCAN, Juno, and Dove awards. Recent releases include Ok One Rock's "In The Stars” (Atlantic), Dreamers' "Last Love Song” (Hollywood), Saint PHNX's “Rise" (AWAL), and Weathers’ "Anything I Want" (RCA). Currently, Brian is working with The Static Shift (Big Machine Canada), and The Unlikely Candidates (Another Century/Sony Recs), as well as BMJV Records’ bands Badflower and Friday Pilots Club.

-Produced Nickelback’s multi-platinum #2 album, Here And Now, including singles "Trying Not To Love You" and "Lullabye".
-Wrote/produced Hinder’s multi-platinum Extreme Behavior album, including #1 single "Lips Of An Angel".
-Wrote Daughtry hits, including "Over You" and "What I Want", from his multi-platinum debut album.
-Wrote/produced Boys Like Girls’ Top 10, multi-platinum singles "Two Is Better Than One, feat. Taylor Swift" and "Love Drunk".
-Produced Simple Plan’s Top 5 Get Your Heart On! album, including single “Jet Lag, feat. Natasha Bedingfield” and WW Top 10 hit "Summer Paradise, feat. Sean Paul".
-Wrote American Idol-winner David Cook’s first multi-platinum single, "Light On”, with Chris Cornell.
-Wrote/produced all 7 of Canadian pop/rock outfit, Hedley’s, albums. His work with the band garnered him multiple wins as Juno Producer Of The Year and for Best Pop Album. He is responsible for 17 of their multi-platinum, Top 10 hit singles ("On My Own", "Trip", "Streetfight", "3,2,1", "She's So Sorry", "Dying To Live Again", "Anything", "Crazy For You", "Invincible", "Cha Ching", "Don't Talk To Strangers”, "Perfect","Hello", "Lose Control", "Can't Slow Down", "Love Again", "Better Days").
-Produced Dove-nominated Skillet album, Unleashed. Co-wrote on their #1 album, Rise. Co-wrote on their multi-platinum album, Awake, including #1 multi-platinum single "Awake And Alive". Co-wrote/produced their Grammy-nominated platinum album Comatose.
-Wrote/produced Puddle of Mudd’s #1 hit title-track "Famous", off their Famous LP. Produced three songs from their album, Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate, including Top 5 hit, "Stoned”.
