Bio

Born, raised and based in Los Angeles, Nick Lee is a new, young, pop producer. Having begun piano and trombone lessons at a very young age, Nick went on to study jazz and classical trombone at the LA County High School for the Arts, followed by jazz trombone at The Juilliard School. He has performed with many world-renowned jazz musicians, including Wynton Marsalis, Jon Faddis, Christian McBride, Eric Harland, John Clayton, Hubert Laws, Jimmy Greene, Eric Reed, Ndugu Chancler and Bill Charlap. After receiving numerous young artist accolades, ranging from 1st trombonist in the GRAMMY Band, to selection for The Monterey Jazz Fest’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, Nick decided to pursue his true passion. He left NYC and returned home to LA to focus on pop writing/production.

2018 saw Nick’s first major label release, with a single for RCA Records UK artist, Halima. Since then, Nick has been producing for independent and major label artists, including BabyJake, Ted Park, Cody Simpson, CupcakKe, Ezinma, and Sage Charmaine. He has also begun to do work for film/TV, having produced the theme song for “The 212” on Fuse TV, and played trombone for the soundtrack of Netflix Original film “Like Father.”

Nick is currently in the studio working with co-writers such as Poo Bear, Bonnie McKee, PJ Bianco, Ian Thomas, Emlyn, and Michelle Buzz. He is also collaborating with 3RACHA from Stray Kids (JYP) on their forthcoming album, slated for release in October.
